Sezen Cumhur Önal was a prominent Turkish lyricist, radio and TV program presenter, born on October 29, 1938, in Akseki, Antalya. In the 1960s, he collaborated with Fecri Ebcioğlu to write Turkish lyrics to foreign songs, helping to pioneer Turkish pop music, also known as 'aranjman' or 'Turkish lyric轻 music.' Over his lifetime, he authored more than 900 song lyrics and became well-known for his romantic phrases and descriptions of singers. Önal was recognized as a State Artist of the Republic of Turkey.
