Shahla Riahi (February 7, 1927 - December 31, 2019) was an Iranian actress and director. Born and raised in Tehran, she began her acting career in 1951 with the film 'Golden Dreams' and appeared in numerous films and series thereafter. In 1956, she directed 'Marjan,' marking her as the first female director in Iranian cinema. After a six-decade career, she retired in 2003 due to Alzheimer’s disease but returned to acting in 2016 in the film 'Amber Whale.' She passed away in Tehran.
