Shri Shahu Chhatrapati Maharaj of Kolhapur, also known as Shahu II, is the 12th descendant of Shivaji and the great-grandson of Shahu I of Kolhapur. Born on January 7, 1948, he became the ceremonial Maharaja of Kolhapur in 1962. He is currently serving as the Member of Parliament in Lok Sabha representing the Kolhapur constituency. He completed his education at Bishop Cotton School and graduated from Indore Christian College in 1967, majoring in History, Economics, and English literature.
