Shahrokh François Shariat is a prominent urologist and professor at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, where he leads the Urology Department and the Comprehensive Cancer Center. Born in Tehran, Iran, he moved to Vienna as a child. He studied chemistry and mathematics in Switzerland before switching to medicine in Vienna. After completing his doctorate, he gained experience in the USA at Baylor College and specialized in urological oncology at prestigious institutions. Since June 2013, he has been the head of the Urology Clinic at Vienna's AKH.
