Shamima K. Choudhury is a Bangladeshi physicist and educator, born on February 12, 1951. She retired as a selection grade professor from the Department of Physics at Dhaka University after 44 years of teaching and research. Over her career, she supervised more than 70 master's and MPhil students. Choudhury has been a fellow of the Bangladesh Physical Society and served as the director of the Bose Center for Advanced Study and Research in Natural Sciences. She is an advocate for women's involvement in science and has been active in promoting gender equality in physics.
