He was the first contestant eliminated in season two, made a surprise return in season three finishing sixth, and later competed in RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars, where he placed third/fourth alongside Bianca Del Rio. Shangela is also a frequent television guest and performs regularly across the United States and Canada.
