Shannon Rubicam is an American singer-songwriter born on October 11, 1951. She is most recognized as half of the pop duo Boy Meets Girl, alongside her husband George Merrill. The duo gained popularity in the late 1980s, particularly with their hit song 'Waiting for a Star to Fall.' Rubicam and Merrill also contributed to Whitney Houston's successes with hits like 'How Will I Know' and 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody.' Although they divorced in 2000, they continue to collaborate musically. Rubicam published her first novel, 'The Wonderground,' in 2011.
