She also served as lighting director for Ratatouille, Cars 2, and The Good Dinosaur. Calahan played a significant role in the evolution of computer-generated animation and its recognition as a legitimate form of cinematography. Notably, she was the first member of the American Society of Cinematographers to be invited based solely on her contributions to animated film.
