Sharon Colyear is a former British sprinter and hurdler born on April 22, 1955, in Manchester. She competed in the 200 m at the 1974 European Championships but did not advance past the semifinals. At the 1976 Olympics in Montreal, she reached the quarterfinals in the 100 m and the semifinals in the 100 m hurdles, while the British 4x100 m relay team finished eighth. She achieved notable success at the Commonwealth Games in 1978, winning bronze in 100 m hurdles and gold in the 4x100 m relay.
