Sheena Easton is a Scottish-American singer and songwriter, born on April 27, 1959, in Bellshill, Scotland. She gained fame in the 1980s after appearing on the reality television show The Big Time. This led to a recording contract with Emi Records. Her debut singles, Modern Girl and 9 to 5, reached the top 10 in the UK and charted in the US. Easton has been nominated for six Grammy Awards, winning twice – the first in 1982 for Best New Artist and another in 1985 for a duet with Luis Miguel. She has released around 16 albums and 45 singles.
