Sheikh Anwarul Haq (May 11, 1917 – March 3, 1995) was a Pakistani jurist and academic who served as the 9th Chief Justice of Pakistan from September 23, 1977, until his resignation on March 25, 1981. He was educated as an economist and had a distinguished civil service career. His notable contributions include presiding over a commission investigating Pakistan's military and economic collapse in 1971. Recognized for his conservative judicial philosophy, he legitimatized military laws during General Zia-ul-Haq's regime and controversially upheld a death sentence against political opponent Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
