Xiao Lanfang (Chen Meigen) was a renowned Shaoju actress born in March 1925 in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. She hailed from a theatrical family and had a deep passion for performance from a young age. Active in the 1940s and 1950s, she notably performed in works originating from Peking Opera. In 1951, she founded the Yifeng Shaoju Troupe and later became the vice-regional head of the New Min Shaoju Troupe. Xiao Lanfang passed away on August 14, 2015, at the age of 90, in Shanghai.
