Shigeo Kurebayashi (May 2, 1912 - March 30, 2004) was a Japanese economic commentator born in Tokyo. He graduated from Tokyo Commerce University (now Hitotsubashi University) in 1936, joined Yasuda Bank, which later became Fuji Bank, where he became the chief of the research department and later a permanent auditor. He contributed significantly to economic commentary and served as a professor at Soka University until his retirement in 1990. Additionally, he was the chairman of the International Economic Research Center.
