Shigeo Noguchi (1907–1993) was a Japanese children's poet and educator born in Fukushima Prefecture. He grew up in Hiragata, Ibaraki. After graduating from Tokyo Metropolitan Aoyama Normal School in 1928, he studied under poet Goro Ozeki. Over his career, he taught at various elementary schools, contributed to children's literature, and participated in educational movements, including the founding of the Japan Composition Association. He used the pen name 'のぐちしげお' (Noguchi Shigeo) and retired in 1968 after serving as the principal of Tsukishima Elementary School.
