Shigeo Ōguro was a Japanese Navy fighter pilot born on May 20, 1925. He participated as the fifth aircraft in the Shikishima Squadron, the first special attack unit. Ōguro was honored posthumously as one of the 'Fivels of Shikishima Squadron' for his efforts during a mission that resulted in the sinking of the American escort carrier St. Lo on October 25, 1944.
