He is best known for his roles in tokusatsu series, particularly as Shigeru Jo in 'Kamen Rider Stronger' and as Kei Tsukimura in 'Choujin Bibyun'. His career featured performances that endeared him to fans of Japanese entertainment. Araki passed away on April 14, 2012, due to cancer. He also used the kanji name 荒木 茂 earlier in his career.
