Shingo Matsuo (born May 19, 1938) is a Japanese businessman notable for his tenure as the Chairman of Kyushu Electric Power from June 2007. He has held several prominent positions, including the 7th Chairman of the Kyushu Economic Federation, Vice Chairman of the University of Tokyo Akamon Alumni Association, and Chairman of the Japan Sumo Association. Currently, he serves as the Chairman of Nippon Kaigi Fukuoka. Matsuo was involved in the controversial reactivation of the Genkai and Sendai nuclear power plants during his leadership at Kyushu Electric.
