Shinji Kajio, born on December 24, 1947, in Kumamoto Prefecture, is a recognized Japanese author known for his work in science fiction and fantasy. His film 'Yume Kiri' is based on his novel of the same name. He also contributed to the manga series 'Omoide Imanon' (Memory of Imanon) alongside Kenji Tsuruta, which was serialized in 'Ryu Comic' magazine. This manga is derived from his short story of the same title and marked the beginning of a long series of Imanon short stories. In 1991, he won the Taisho Nihon Award.
