Shirō Kuro is a Japanese novelist born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1974. He is known for his works featuring urban legends, folklore, and Cthulhu Mythos. Kuro's writing often centers around his hometown of Tsurumi. He won the first "幽" (Yuu) Kaidan Bungaku Sho (Ghost Story Literature Award) for his novel "Let's Go for a Walk Together at Night" and is the youngest recipient of the Cthulhu Mythos Award for his short story "Lagoze Hiiyo." He also contributes to magazines, videos, and television programs with his research and provides original stories. Kuro has compiled a dictionary called "Kurogo Jiten" (Black Language Dictionary) containing tens of thousands of entries.
