On March 31, 2023, he reached the retirement age of 60 as a full-time employee but continued his career as a senior announcer under a contract from April 1, 2023. Additionally, he serves as the inaugural manager of the Kōbe Shinkaichi Kirakukan, a venue associated with traditional Kamigata Rakugo performances.
