Shiv Charan Mathur was an Indian politician affiliated with the Indian National Congress. He served as a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and held various government positions. He was the Chief Minister of Rajasthan from July 14, 1981, to February 23, 1985, and again from January 20, 1988, to December 4, 1989. He was appointed Governor of Assam on June 5, 2008. Mathur passed away on June 25, 2009, due to cardiac arrest.
