Shivraj Singh Chauhan, born on March 5, 1959, is the 18th and current Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, India. He assumed office on November 29, 2005, succeeding Babulal Gaur. As a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), he has served as the General Secretary and also as the President of the Madhya Pradesh BJP. Chauhan joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh at the age of 13 in 1972 and has been a five-time Member of Parliament representing Vidisha since 1991. Currently, he represents the Budhni constituency in Sehore district.
