Shō Hiroko is a Japanese nutritionist and emeritus professor at the University of the Ryukyus, born on December 25, 1932. She specializes in Okinawan longevity and food culture. Additionally, she served as the Vice Governor of Okinawa from 1991 to 1994, becoming the second woman to hold this position in Japan. Her husband was Shō Sen, the sixth son of Shō Jun, the fourth prince of the Ryukyu Kingdom, and he was involved with Momohara Farm and served as a director at Ryukyu Shinpo.
