Shōgo Tada was a Japanese politician born on February 18, 1931, in Yamagata City, Yamagata Prefecture. He graduated from Tohoku University with a degree in chemical engineering. Tada served four consecutive terms in the House of Councillors, becoming the leader of the Kōmeitō Senate group. He played a significant role in Sino-Japanese normalization discussions. After retiring from politics in 1989, he led the company Daisan Bunmei and co-founded the 'Kōmeitō Supporters Association.' Tada passed away on September 4, 2010, due to a cerebral infarction.
