Shōji Nishimura (1911-1997) was a Japanese postal bureaucrat and politician, serving four terms as a member of the House of Councillors. He held significant positions including Minister of State for the Cabinet Office and Director-General of the Okinawa Development Agency. Nishimura graduated from Tokyo Imperial University and entered the Ministry of Communications. In 1965, he was first elected to the House of Councillors, re-elected three times, and served on various committees. He passed away in 1997 and was posthumously elevated in rank.
