Shōsuke Satō (March 4, 1920 – June 30, 2005) was a Japanese Western-style painter. He graduated from the Tokyo School of Fine Arts and became an assistant professor at Yamagata Normal School. After retiring, he moved to Tokyo, where he participated in art exhibitions. In 1959, he co-founded the Sōgikai, a Western-style painting association. His work earned recognition, winning the Minister of Education Award at the 18th Sōgikai Exhibition in 1978, and he was honored for his contributions to cultural projects in Nerima.
