Shozo Katayama, born on February 11, 1961, is a Japanese politician and businessman from Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture. He graduated from Doshisha University, joined Katayama Shoten, a textile machinery trading company, in 1989, and became its president in 2000. He was elected mayor of Nishiwaki in 2013 with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party and was re-elected unopposed in 2017 and 2021. Notably, he received the Prime Minister's Award for his innovative work in textile production.
