Ashin Vayama, also known as Shwe Twante Sayadaw, is a Burmese Buddhist monk born on March 2, 1960. He is recognized as an ex-political prisoner and former chairman of the 8 Parties: Youth & Student Democracy Forces. As a founder of Yaung Ni Thit Sar Pay (YNT Publishing), he has contributed to literature and advocacy. Notably, he was the first monk to serve in the United Arab Emirates in 2007 and has received multiple honors for his work in Buddhism.
