Sibghatullah Kadri QC was a pioneering British barrister, recognized as the first Pakistani and Muslim Queen's Counsel in the UK. Born on 23 April 1937 in British India, he was active in student movements in Karachi. After relocating to Britain, Kadri became involved with the Labour Party and worked for various organizations including the BBC Urdu. He specialized in civil rights law and was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1989, contributing significantly to the legal community until his death from cancer on 2 November 2021.
