Sibongiseni Lucas Shabalala (born 20 May 1972) is a member of the renowned South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo, founded in 1960 by his father Joseph. Growing up in Ladysmith, he began his musical journey at a young age, joining the group as a bass voice in 1993 after the family's tragic losses. In 1998, he co-formed the crossover band Shabalala Rhythm, known for successful albums like Ubuhle Bakho and Vuma, blending maskandi, mbaqanga, and isicathamiya music styles.
