Sieta Posthumus is a retired Dutch freestyle swimmer born on April 22, 1936. She competed in the 1960 Summer Olympics as part of the 4×100 m freestyle relay team. Although her team was expected to win medals, they were disqualified in the preliminary round due to a mistake during the race. Unfortunately, Posthumus suffered a concussion after hitting her head on the pool wall during warm-up. Following the Olympics, she retired from competitive swimming just six months later.
