Simon Robert Morris Baynes is a British Conservative politician born on April 21, 1960. He served as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Justice and Illegal Immigration from July to September 2022. He was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Clwyd South in the 2019 general election. Prior to entering politics, Baynes worked for JP Morgan Cazenove from 1982 to 2006 and also ran a small bookshop in Shrewsbury. He married his wife, Margaret (known as Maggi), in 1992, and they have two daughters.
