Simon Byrne is an English former senior police officer born on April 29, 1963. He had a notable career in law enforcement, serving as Chief Constable of the Police Service of Northern Ireland from July 2019 until his resignation in September 2023. Prior to that, he held several significant positions, including Deputy Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police from 2009 to 2011, Assistant Commissioner for Territorial Policing in the Metropolitan Police Service from 2011 to 2014, and Chief Constable of Cheshire Constabulary from 2014 to 2017.
