Simon Poidevin is a former Australian rugby union player born on October 31, 1958, known for playing as a flanker. He made his Test debut for Australia in 1980 and was part of the 1980 Bledisloe Cup-winning Wallabies. Poidevin captained the team in several significant matches, including the 1987 Rugby World Cup. He was instrumental in Australia achieving rugby union's Grand Slam and winning a series in New Zealand, making him one of the few players to achieve these feats. He retired after the 1991 World Cup victory.
