Simon Swynfen Jervis is a British museum director and art historian born on January 9, 1943. He began his career in 1964 at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery and joined the Victoria and Albert Museum in 1966. He served as the Director of the Fitzwilliam Museum from 1990 to 1995, and from 1995 to 2002, he was the Historic Buildings Secretary for the National Trust. He also presided over the Society of Antiquaries of London from 1995 to 2001 and was elected president of the Furniture History Society in 2021.
