Sion Assidon, born in May 1948 in Agadir, is a Moroccan human rights activist of Jewish faith and an outspoken opponent of Zionism. He is regarded as one of the prominent figures in the Moroccan Marxist left and was a co-founder of the 23 March Organization. Throughout his activist career, Assidon spent over 12 years in political prison during the 1970s and 1980s, specifically between 1972 and 1984.
