Skales, born Raoul John on April 1, 1991, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter known for his contributions to the music industry. He began writing rap songs in 2000 in Kaduna and later moved to Jos to collaborate with artists like Jesse Jagz and Jeremiah Gyang. In 2008, he won a competition in the Central Northern region, and his debut song 'Mast Shine' received significant airplay on radio stations in Lagos, Jos, and Abuja. Skales later relocated to Lagos and secured a record deal in 2009.
