Robert Henry "Skee" Riegel was an American professional golfer born on November 25, 1914. He took up golf at 23 after playing other sports in college. Riegel was notable for winning the 1947 U.S. Amateur and was part of the Walker Cup teams in 1947 and 1949, finishing undefeated. He had a successful amateur career before turning professional in 1950, participating in numerous Masters Tournaments, where he was the low amateur in 1948. After playing full-time until 1952, he served as a head pro and was involved in golf club ownership.
