G. W. 'Skip' Mercier was an American costume, puppet, and set designer, renowned for his work in over 370 productions across theater, musical theater, opera, dance, film, and television. His notable works include set and costume designs for 'Juan Darien: A Carnival Mass,' which earned him a Tony Award nomination and two Drama Desk nominations in 1997. In addition to his design work, he served as a faculty member at the University of Washington School of Drama, teaching scenic and costume design to both graduate and undergraduate students.
