Slavko Čepin is a Slovenian agronomist born on May 10, 1936, in Bistrica, Kozje. He graduated in 1959 from the Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine in Ljubljana and obtained his doctorate in 1980 from the Biotechnical Faculty in Ljubljana. From 1963 to 1980, he worked at the Agricultural Institute of Slovenia, served as the director of the Agricultural Experimental Center Jable from 1981 to 1985, and has been a full professor of cattle breeding at the Biotechnical Faculty since 1984.
