Daniela Smaranda Ionescu, born on March 7, 1939, was a Romanian politician and sociologist, specialized in international labor law. She served as a deputy in Romania's legislature from 1990 to 1992, elected in Bucharest as part of the FSN party. Ionescu took office on July 30, 1990, replacing Adrian Năstase. In 1991, she became a member of the PRM and continued her political career as a deputy from 1992 to 1996 and again from 2000 to 2004, participating in friendship groups with France and Thailand.
