Soe Win is a Vice Senior General of Myanmar, serving as the current Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces and the Chief of the Myanmar Army. He is also a member of the National Defense and Security Council. In May 2012, he was appointed to a high-ranking government position by former President Thein Sein. He was closely associated with General Mon Aye, the former Vice Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council, and has served as the second-highest military officer in the country.
