Letnan Jenderal TNI (Purn) H. Soekarto is a retired high-ranking officer of the Indonesian Army, who served last as the Secretary General of the National Defense and Security Council from 1993 to 1998. He was previously the Commander of the Army Staff and Command School from 1985 to 1989 and the Governor of the National Resilience Institute from 1989 to 1993. He is actively involved in the Indonesian Veteran Legion as Vice Chairman and has participated in several military operations.
