Soita Shitanda was a Kenyan politician who served as the representative for the Malava Constituency in the National Assembly of Kenya. Elected first in 1997, he successfully ousted the then Minister of Health. He was re-elected in 2002 and later appointed as Minister for Housing during a cabinet reshuffle in 2005. Shitanda continued to serve in parliament, earning re-election in 2007. His political career was marked by significant roles and multiple terms in office until his death on 24 May 2016.
