Sōkokurai Eikichi is a former professional sumo wrestler from Inner Mongolia, China, born on January 9, 1984. He is notable for being the only Chinese national to reach the top makuuchi division in sumo. Sōkokurai made his professional debut in 2003 and reached the top division in 2010. His career faced controversies, including a match-fixing scandal leading to his initial dismissal in 2011, which was later overturned by a court in 2013. He obtained Japanese citizenship in 2019 and retired in 2020 to manage his own stable.
