Solveig Margrethe Levin was a Norwegian-Jewish Holocaust survivor and music educator. Born in 1914, she was the daughter of Mendel Bernstein and Elise Kazerginsky, who immigrated from Lithuania to Norway in the late 1800s. In 1938, she married pianist Robert Levin, becoming a mother to Mona and Sidsel Levin. During World War II, her family escaped arrest and deportation to Auschwitz, although many relatives perished there. After the war, Levin worked in her father's magazine and later directed music kindergartens in Oslo.
