Solveig Synnøve Barby, better known as Solveig Skramstad, was a Norwegian popular singer born on January 8, 1929, in Strømmen and passed away on May 29, 2005, in Oslo. She gained recognition in the early 1950s, releasing several records. Through her marriage to Ivar Skramstad from 1952 to 1971, she had four children. As a performer, she collaborated with Karl Westbye's quintet/orchestra, recording various melodies that contributed to her popularity.
