Somchai Khunpluem, also known as Kunplome, was a prominent Thai politician, businessman, and organized crime figure, often referred to by the nickname 'Kamnan Poh'. A significant influence in Chonburi province and the eastern region of Thailand, he was recognized by the media as the 'godfather of Chonburi' and 'godfather of the east'. He served as the long-term mayor of Saen Suk in the Mueang Chonburi District. Khunpluem was born on September 30, 1937, and passed away on June 17, 2019.
