Sonia Guadalupe Zepeda Cortéz, born on January 26, 1981, in San Salvador, is a Salvadoran chess player. She learned chess from her father, Rafael Zepeda, and was trained by International Master Héctor Leyva. Zepeda is a five-time winner of the El Salvador Women's Championship and won the Central American Women's Championship in 2007. She has represented El Salvador in four Chess Olympiads and has been awarded the title of Woman International Master (WIM). Her highest Elo rating was 2136 in 2009.
