Andersgaard began her career at NRK in 1948 and co-hosted Lørdagsbarnetimen in the 1950s. She also worked as a radio play consultant until the late 1980s, selecting, translating, and dramatizing plays for children. Additionally, she contributed to the Children's Hour for the youngest audience and was a key figure in initiating the Barnetimeboka.
